Howdy Friends & Families,

As always, it’s great to touch base with you all again for this wonderful cause! 
Another great year is coming to an end.  Kids are growing fast, Yes literally 🙂 they are growing fast. I cannot believe Ashwin(13 year old, eldest son) is already taller than me. So many great things happened this year including trip to India this summer. We had memorable time with families and get to visit our Sevalaya as well. In regard to business, our “Om Realty Group” brokerage is continuing to grow with 13 agents currently on board. We were able to close 25 Million worth of properties this year.  We are also spreading our wings into commercial arena and working on new construction projects. 

Quick Recap for Year 2018

Last year, together we raised $4021 with your support beating previous year(2017) $3500. We continued to beat our target year over year. Let’s AIM HIGH this year to reach $4500-5000. With last year funds, we continue to support 22 kids in our pool plus increased fixed deposit endowment sponsorship to five. Totally, 27 kids education was sponsored last year. Our goal is to eventually get to having 10 endowments to support 10 kids permanently.     

This year Campaign – 15th year

During our visit to Chennai, India this year, we were able to spend half day with my family at the Kasuva Village, Sevalaya campus in Thiruninravur.  My kids Ashwin and Akhil got to know some of our sevalaya kids and try to meld with them. We also took part in the Book distribution program held the same day. You can check more about our visit story which was also published in July Newsletter.

Sevalaya is growing and spreading his wings all over Tamilnadu with currently 4 locations. We will continue our support  to Sevalaya this year as well. It is a very active non-profit organization in Tamilnadu, India not only educates hundreds of local village kids and orphans, but also guides them to stand in their feet by placing them in qualified professions. You can learn more about the organization History, Students success stories, view some video about the organization and their media coverage here. Sevalaya kids continue to prove in their academic skill year and year again by giving 100% pass result in 10th and 12th grade public exams.
