How are you all doing? I hope everyone is well and happy to be out of the election year chaos. It’s finally over!! It has been another eventful year and busy one for us. As you know, it’s time of the year again when I come down requesting my friends and families for our annual charitable giving campaign/fund-raiser.
Last Year (2015) – Update
It was our 11th year supporting the under-privileged and orphaned kids back in India by providing much needed education by joining hands with Sevalaya. We raised over total $2785(equivalent to Rs. 1,68,750 -1 Lakh 68 thousands seven fifty) which provided funds to support to 20 kids plus 3 kids from our previous endowment deposits. Totally, 23 kids education was sponsored last year. Currently, we have total 3 fixed deposit endowments in place and slowly getting closer towards the goal of having 10 endowments in few years.

This year Campaign
We will continue to sponsor the kids education this year as well. Sevalaya is a great active non-profit organization in TamilNadu, India. It’s an organization which not only educates hundreds of local village kids and orphans, also guides them to stand in their feet by placing them in qualified professions and help them start a new life by arranging weddings with a right partner. Sevalaya kids continue to prove in their academic skill year and year again by giving 100% pass result in 10th and 12th grade public exams. I strongly urge you to check out.
Being a Sevalaya sponsors family, it is our unbound responsibility to continue to help those education hungry kids. I kindly request you all to open your heart and contribute graciously and continue the tradition of giving by making a difference in these kids life. Every dollar you contribute goes directly to help the kid’s education, no layer involved.
You can contribute in two ways easily,
a) Cash/Cheque – Make check payable to my name for amount less than $100 and send to my home address is 5818 Tarpon Bay Ct, Sugar Land, TX – 77479. If you are donating more than $100 towards (only Sevalaya Kids education) and need a tax receipt, you can make the check payable to ASTI (AMERICAN SERVICE TO INDIA).
b) Credit card – Use Paypal account tmvijai@gmail.com. Only use this method if you cannot pay by check because there is a 7% commission charged by paypal from your donation since we don’t have US non-profit status yet.
One of the world’s richest and generous person, Warren Buffet once said,
“If you’re in the luckiest one per cent of humanity, you owe it to the rest of humanity to think about the other 99 per cent.”
I know, many might be among one percent crowd, may be among 20% lucky people. You get the point! Let’s think about those kids in the other side of the world who needs your help and share little bit of what we have, and welcome the New year in a better way by giving back to the humanity.
